Welcome to the world baby H!!!!!  Friday I drove out to see little Ms. H!  She is the prettiest baby I think I have EVER seen!  SOOO tiny too!  She did really well for her session and I enjoyed spending the afternoon with that sweet little girl and her mom, dad and big brother!  Congrats C family!!!!!!  You are truly blessed!
    

Yesterday Nick and I spent the afternoon with M & C out at Canyon Lake and the Guadulupe River!  Wow is it breathtaking!!!!!!  Such a beautiful setting for portraits!  I am so glad we did this yesterday because today is nasty and miserable and yesterday was GORGEOUS!  C is home from Iraq on his 2 week R&R before returning for another 6 months!  Thank you so much C for your service to our country!  Today is also M's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY M!!!!  It was such an honor that you two chose me to do you session while here!  On to your Sneek Peek, as I know you are antsy to see!  Hope you to enjoy the rest of your vacation!
 

Yuck!  Today is such a nasty day!  It's cold and dismal outside!  I yearn for the beautiful Texas Spring days!  Alas, it does do well for me as I am much inclined to stay inside and work!  At least I don't have the distraction that accompanies beautiful days!  After several weeks of family illness and dealing with a  family crisis, I feel that I am getting back on track!  I am actually nearly caught back up on my work!  Anyway, I do have a couple pictures of my boys I am posting!  They do capture their individual personalities to a tee and show the remarkable difference in the two boys!  They are like day and night!  I am hoping to have decent weather this weekend so that I can attempt to get some good ones of Alivia!  She is at that all too emphamis difficult age!  Most pictures of her are of her back, as she is constantly on the run!


 

I had the honor of doing the C's Maternity Shoot!  They are the sweetest, most big-hearted family I have ever met!  I will be going back here in a few weeks to do their Newborn shoot and I can't WAIT!!!!!  L is glowingly beautiful and will is so deserving of the precious baby girl they are expecting!  I thoroughly had a great time and laughed so much!  Thank you C family! 

Anyway, I know that they are anxious for the Sneek Peek (as it has taken a little longer than usual to get up due to some unfortunate events here in the Severson household!)

Well, it is a nasty, dreary day today.  Definitely feels like a Texas Winter! 
I bet T & A hated having to come back from beautiful Mexico to this weather!  They got married at the Rio Plaza Dec. 20!  What an amazing event!  The venue was wonderful, with a very intimate Tuscan feel and A did a fabulous job with all of the details in shades of brown.  It complimented the venue so well.  I felt like I was in another world!  It was definitely a dream wedding!  The weather was wonderful and worked so nicely with the outdoor cocktail hour.  The rose petals that sprinkled the floor of the ceremony room, the rich colors and ambient lighting created the most fantastically romantic setting!  Love was thick in the air for sure!  A made for a gorgeous Bride in her magnificent designer gown and T just glowed from ear to ear the entire time.  You two are what God created love for!  Thank you for the honor of having SP capture such an amazing time for you!

Well, it has been a very busy month for both Severson Photography and the Severson household.  As we approach 2010 I am bracing for a New Year full of the joys and wonders, as well as the trials and tribulations that life has in store for my business and my family. 

I had a Maternity Session today with J & S.  They are due with their first baby, a precious baby boy, in March!  This session was extraordinarily special, as sweet baby B's Nana and Pop Pop were able to be apart of the session during their visit from Virginia!  I have never had the opportunity to photograph the grandparents with the mom and dad-to-be, so this was a wonderful opportunity!  J is such a beautiful mommy-to-be.  Pregnancy serves her well, as does she serve pregnancy well.  S is such a crack and is going to make a WONDERFUL father to a son!  I really enjoyed spending the afternoon in their home with them.  There is so much love there, what a lucky baby this is!

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing J & M's Recommitment Ceremony!  It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony that was held at their church on their 2nd anniversary.  M even had a special surprise for J, a different dress than they had originally picked out!  She was absolutely stunning and elegant in every sense of the word!  They read their own vows and yes I was guilty of tearing up myself!  Truly in love, and such a wonderful couple, they are without a doubt an inspiration!  Thank you J & M for sharing such a beautiful day with Severson Photography!   Maybe one day we will all be able to go to a Cafe in Italy for a fresh biscotti and cappuchino!

Last week, right before Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of doing R & A's engagement shoot!  Let's just say, BREATHTAKING!  This couple is tall, very tall, and gorgeous!  A is (I am not kidding) a living, breathing, Barbie doll and her fiancee, R, is just as beautiful!  What a wonderful pair!  We had so much fun!  We went to the Botanical Gardens and then downtown to the RR tracks and then on over to The Pearl Stable where they will be having their reception!  Nick was a real trooper as he pushed around a wheelchair at the Botanical Gardens with all of the wardrobe changes, bags and misc. stuff we had!  (A, when we do your Bridals, I will be sure to bring my wagon!)  I am very pleased with how beautiful the pictures turned out.  (Not hard to do when the couple is so beautiful, I might add!)  A and R I can't wait until the wedding!

I had a wonderful Saturday morning with the sweetest couple!  They had a family session that included their adorable 4 1/2 month old lab, Abigail.  I truly enjoyed spending a couple of hours with them and found them to be a true inspiration for photographing!  Thank you so much N and E for a delightful Saturday morning!  Here are some of my favorites thus far from your session!

So we went to McNay Art Museum yesterday evening to check the grounds out for a shoot I am doing tomorrow!  What a breathtaking location!  It was so beautiful and serene and the weather was simply perfect!!!!!  I did grab a few shots of the kiddos while we were there.  Our little Alivia was constantly on the go!  I really didn't get anything except her back as she was running about!  That's okay though because I LOVE shots of little ones from behind!  So here are a few of my favorites of our little princess!
